1.9 mill SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPERTY TAX FOR 28 YEARS
The Citizens for Quality Schools committee is dedicated to doing everything possible to educate and assist voters in hopes of passing a property tax levy that will allow our fine school district in “Building Upon Excellence”. Passage of this levy will allow us to complete phase two of the building campaign that began in 2001. The phase one results have been enjoyed an appreciated by many; we now have a fine new high school building, we have done a complete renovation of East Elementary school, and we have made several energy efficiency upgrades to Bruce Elementary school.
The state is now ready to make available to us the $24 million we earned back in 2001 when we locally funded phase one by passage of a property tax levy. All we have to do now is pass the required 0.5 mil levy to fund the operation of the two new buildings we plan to build, along with a 1.4 mil levy for the required local share that is needed to fund their actual construction.
