Writers supporting ECS bond issue

As proud residents of both the City of Eaton and the Eaton Community School District, we are writing to voice our support of the upcoming Issue #34.
We are the parents of two EHS alumni and two current Bruce Elementary students. We have seen and continue to see the great value of our past investments in our education system. We feel that our tax dollars have been well invested.
In these rather tight economic times, why shouldn't we take advantage of the state funds promised to us for our commitment and the work done in Phase One? Let's bring our tax dollars back to benefit our district rather than passing it on to another district.
With the state monies available at this time, we, the residents of Eaton Community School District, will only be contributing less than 25 cents of every dollar spent for the completion of Phase Two.
How many of you would be willing to turn down an offer to purchase a new vehicle or piece of farm machinery if you were only required to pay less than 25 percent of the actual cost?
The return on our investment on generations of students will far outlast the investment of vehicles or machinery.
Please vote "yes" on Issue 34.
